Greg Feltham, managing director of graphic design and multimedia agency Fresh01, has died at the age of 45.
Feltham suffered a pulmonary embolism that led to a fatal heart attack. He died at his home on Tuesday 19 September.
He started his career with a printing apprenticeship in London before joining Colour Systems, which became part of FMG. According to colleagues, he set out over his career to find more efficient ways of working and was described as "instrumental" in revolutionising workflow processes in publishing.
During his work for FMG, he set up one of the first offshore resource repro facilities in Chennai, India, where his personable management style earned him the respect of his team.
He was later recruited to the Rhapsody pre-media agency in London by Les Pipe, who recently stepped down as managing director.
"Greg was an integral part of Rhapsody for years," said Pipe. "He was very good at what he did, but much more importantly he was a wonderful man – positive, bright and intelligent.
"At Rhapsody, he was a guy that we all loved – many people within the company have spoken to me since hearing the news, wanting to make sure their condolences were passed on to those closest to him.
"It is such a tragedy that this has happened to him at such a young age. He leaves behind a beautiful family and a career that now has so much unfulfilled potential. I could talk for hours about Greg; a man who I had the utmost respect for and hoped to see rise further in his career."
When Feltham moved to Fresh01 in April 2014 as a partner and managing director, he led a team on multiple sites which provided services for leading worldwide organisations. Fresh01's customers have included Sega Games, Centrica, and Metro newspapers.
"Greg was a true inspiration to both myself and all those around him," said Fresh01 founder Kurt Özfıçıcı. "He was a fine entrepreneur and a loyal friend who would always be there.
"He transformed our business and our thinking with his commercial strategy, tactical sharpness and incredible eye for detail. His unfaltering drive and passion for success was astonishing. Without doubt, his DNA is at the company's core.
"I am grateful to have known this great man and great friend.”
Feltham is survived by his partner Helen, children Rosie and George, and by his parents as well as his older brother Guy, sister-in-law Suzy, nephews and nieces Grace, Joe and Alice.
