ProCo has signed a six-figure deal with Tharstern to upgrade its MIS to the vendor’s flagship Primo platform.
The Sheffield-based marcomms and data specialist will start the installation process in the next few weeks, with the project set to be completed by next summer.
“It’s a massive project, but it’s important that we do it and it’s the right time. We’ve done a lot of work on our investments in technology as well as our service, business and client offerings in the past few years, now its time to align all of those though one system,” said ProCo managing director Jon Bailey.
Primo will ultimately replace a bespoke MIS based on Sanderson’s Unity software.
The new 35-user platform will be fully integrated with ProCo’s in-house web-to-print system, as well as its Agfa Apogee and HP Smartstream workflows and Sage 200 accounts system.
ProCo’s system will be configured with Estimate Pro as well as Primo’s full sales, commercial and production suite and shop floor data capture packages.
“The [Primo] investment is as much about all about the customer engagement side of the business as the production side. This is a win-win for the customers as well as us, because it will help us generate even faster estimates and better integration with production,” said Bailey.
“It will give us a platform to take our customer engagement – how we deal with them and what we do for them – to the next level.”
Bailey added that the company was also currently reviewing its web-to-print platform, with a view to possibly installing a new system alongside the new MIS at a later date.
