Print management firm Banner Managed Communication (BMC) has secured a £2m deal, following a competitive tender, to provide credit finance firm Provident Financial with a range of print and document management services.
Under the terms of the recently commenced agreement BMC will provide the firm’s 270 branches across the UK and Republic of Ireland with printed business stationery and marketing materials.
The two-year deal, which is understood to have long been held by Office Depot, also incorporates the management of storage and distribution of office supplies.
Provident Financial senior procurement manager, Steven Schools, said BMC’s “market-leading” software, multi-site warehousing operation and in-house logistics had been a key factor in the firm’s appointment.
He added: “One of our main priorities was to minimise the potential disruption of moving away from our long-standing supplier.
“The competitive tender process and due diligence showed us that BMC would be able to offer expertise, a seamless transition and ongoing support that would match our business needs.”
No on-site staff have been deployed to any of Provident’s offices although BMC has implemented a dedicated account manager for print and a call centre service to support demand for office supplies. Printed materials will be provided by BMC’s list of preferred suppliers.
“We’re really pleased to have the opportunity to work with Provident Financial and that we’ve been entrusted to deliver these business-critical services,” stated BMC managing director Catherine Burke.
“We use state-of-the-art technologies and will implement tried-and-tested solutions that deliver improved speed, enhanced quality and greater accuracy.
“BMC’s ability to offer multiple outsourced services through a single relationship is clearly another important point of differentiation and competitive advantage for us,” she added.
