Inc Direct was a clear winner in this category thanks to the detailed demonstration of its cross-media capabilities exemplified by its work for Rank Group, which operates Mecca Bingo clubs and Grosvenor Casinos.


Enfield-based Inc was asked to tender for a contract to provide an online, web-to-print and broadcast solution for Rank's clubs, which would enable them to order, via a browser, personalised marketing communications.

In addition, Inc had to provide full security, back-up and 99.9% up-time. Inc's solution was to develop a product called FlightDeck, branded as iPost for Rank, which allows individual clubs to log on with a unique user name and password.

The system populates all available marketing collateral and templates with the specific club's details, such as location, facilities and opening times. Managers can choose from more than 245 templates to create their campaigns across all media.  020 8344 6280

Howard Hunt Group just came up short in attempting to repeat its victory from last year in this category. The Dartford-based marketing services group showed how it used a cross-media strategy encompassing one-piece mailers and emails in campaigns to target lapsed and loyal customers of Joules, the leading country clothing brand.
