SpeedQuote & Vpress join forces in new W2P e-commerce venture

SpeedQuote has signed a strategic partnership with Vpress to bring web-to-print (W2P) functionality to its eponymous e-commerce system.

Terence Livingstone, managing director of SpeedQuote, said the addition of online variable data and on-demand documents at agreed pricing would allow buyers to fulfil their needs on one website.

The deal combines Vpress Coreprint with SpeedQuote’s Instant Pricing software to enable printers to offer branded W2P templates as part of their e-commerce system.

SpeedQuote sales director Mike McLain said customers using the e-commerce platform would be able to "punch out" into Coreprint to order variable data documents, print on demand, or stock items.

He added the two packages were closely integrated and would appear to clients as one system, while being significantly cheaper for the printer than rival platforms.

"We can get you up and running [on Coreprint] from £750," said McLain. "Meanwhile SpeedQuote e-commerce costs from £99 a month and for that you’re getting, in effect, a sales rep who works 24/7 and does quotes accurately."
