Williams Lea Tag laid off around 100 staff, as speculation mounted that a sell-off was imminent. It was sold later in the month to private equity business Advent International... Leycol Printers merged with the UK operation of US-based Diversified Global Graphics Group (DG3), creating a circa-£23m company... Direct Colour installed a B2 Komori Lithrone S29 H-UV machine, its first step into UV curing... Communisis won the HSBC marcomms work previously handled by St Ives... Landa Digital Printing shipped its first press, hailing the event with the words “printing will never be the same again”...
