World Wrap Masters returns for Fespa 2018

The World Wrap Masters is returning to Fespa next month with teams battling it out in a series of timed wrapping competitions.

Fespa events manager Michela Marcantonio said: “This is one of the show's highlights – the wrapping community is exciting, colourful and passionate about what they do.

“And this year we have 40 competitors from over 17 countries. But despite the competitive element, there's a real sense of community and camaraderie.”

The World Wrap Masters Europe and the series final will form a competitive highlight of the expo, taking place from 15 to 18 May at Messe Berlin in Germany.

Starting proceedings on Tuesday 15 May will be the Wrap Masters Europe, with wrappers competing against each other.

A winner and two runners up of the European series will go on to compete in the World final on Thursday 17 and Friday 18 May.

The final will see the three finalists from Europe compete against winners from Russia, South Africa, Finland, Denmark, Brazil, Mexico and Turkey, who qualified in their regional heats.

Finalists will wrap cars as well as other items to be announced on the day to add an element of surprise for competitors.

Vehicle wrap experts will make up the judging panel and include Jeremy Conner, who owns American installation company Who Did That!?!.

“Contestants from previous competitions had creative ability and passion in spades,” said Conner. “But the installers competing in Berlin will have the experience to match.”

Also taking place will be free daily workshops and demonstrations including a Wrap Masters training workshop and a future of wrapping workshop.
