Winterbottom: looking forward to planning for the months and years ahead

Sarah Winterbottom is taking over as managing director at wide-format equipment specialist Josero as part of a succession plan.

Winterbottom has worked at the Swavesey, Cambridgeshire distributor since October 2019 as business development manager.

She has a wide range of industry experience having started her career at Danka UK, moving into paper merchanting at Robert Horne’s Lunnons operation, before then going into wide-format equipment with roles at Paperlinx, Signmaster Systems and CMYUK.

Winterbottom is also the co-founder of the Women in Signs and Graphics initiative.

Josero founder and managing director Loic Delor is stepping back from day-to-day operations, but remains a company director and will focus on special projects and product development. This includes e-commerce, spares, and any potential post-Brexit factors that will impact the firm’s business on the continent.

As part of the transition Winterbottom has been acting managing director since the start of the year. Her promotion becomes effective on 6 April.

Delor said that Winterbottom had embraced the firm’s core values and spirit from the outset, and had “contributed over and beyond her role, exceeding all expectations”.

“Josero has grown a lot over the years and there was a need for a new face with the right energy and vision and the ability to take the company to the next level, and Sarah is the perfect person to take on that challenge,” he said.

Winterbottom said she was thrilled about the fresh opportunity.

“It has been an interesting few months but I am pleased with the developments we have made during this challenging time, and I am looking forward to planning for the months and years ahead. I would also like to thank our customers and suppliers, without whom none of it would be possible, for their ongoing support.”

Roger Sherratt, digital sign and display sales specialist at Agfa, will join the firm’s sales team next month.

Josero sells wide-format kit from Agfa, Mimaki and Ricoh alongside wide-format finishing kit and consumables and also has a used equipment offering.

The firm’s dedicated spares operation lays claims to being the UK’s largest supplier of spare parts for kit including Agfa, EFI, Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, Konica Minolta, and Durst equipment, with more than 3,000 products available for next day delivery.
