Vision Paper & Board makes dual appointments

Paper merchant Vision Paper & Board has appointed two new members of staff to help drive the business forward.

The company has taken on Stephen Hughes, whose previous roles include Calington head of sales, as business development director. Hughes, who has also worked at Antalis, will be responsible for developing a number of markets across the business, including the print management, large publishers, large print groups and digital print sectors.

Jason Wood has joined the company as logistics manager and with overall responsibility for the warehousing, distribution and transport functions at Vision's West Midlands headquarters.

Vision Paper & Board, part of the Middleton Group of companies, has also announced that it will be bringing on-board a new packaging industry expert during the second quarter of 2012, who will be responsible for growing packaging board sales on graphical and folding boxboard grades.

Paper ranges sold by the Vision Paper & Board include coated, business, self-adhesive and uncoated. It also sells a wide range of graphical and packaging boards.

The company said in a statement: "As well as investing in people, Vision is continuously investing in products and services, with range expansions in a multitude of paper and board substrates to meet changing market demands, such as digital, large-format screen and display, woodfree coated and uncoated products, business papers, graphic and cartonboard, mechanical, gift wrap and specialty products."
