TwentySix01 opts for Summa

Commercial and POS printer TwentySix01 has become the first UK company to install a 2.6m-wide Summa F2630 flatbed cutter.

Managing director Steve Williamson said the cutter was mainly brought in to partner the business's HP Scitex FB750 flatbed, which was installed last August.

Installed two months ago at its Bristol site, the cutter was supplied by West Sussex-based wide-format reseller Papergraphics and joins an existing Summa cutter in TwentySix01’s finishing department.

“Adding the first UK-based Summa F2630 cutter to our armoury has expanded our range of services. Our only limit is our imagination," said Williamson.

We chose the Summa F2630 because of the large cutting bed, flexibility and ease of use over other manufacturers.

The machine has a wide variety of modules and can cut substrates up to 25mm thick, including PVC, acrylic and wood.

Last June, TwentySix01, which was formed 16 months ago, relocated to larger 370sqm premises in South Bristol.

"Efficient production, high quality, fast turnaround and value for money are very much part of the TwentySix01 ethos," added Williamson.

TwentySix01 mainly produces large-format and POS work for a variety of clients, also running an HP Latex 360, which was installed when the company was set up.
