The Tavistock, Devon-based company, which specialises in producing customised standard labels and self-adhesive labels, added the seven-colour Indigo ws4500 to its line-up, which includes a ws4000.
The 11-year-old firm has experienced a continual increase in demand for digital work since the ws4000 was installed four years ago.
Robert Lee, sales director at Tamar Labels, told printweek.com that personalised digital work gave customers "the competitive edge".
"High-quality, digitally printed work has the ability to bring a client's products up to scratch," he added.
Both Indigo presses at the 30-staff operation are linked to its Shuttleworth MIS system, which Lee says "ensures total control and efficiency" from pre-press to despatch.
The ws4500 offers a print resolution of up to 812x812dpi and is capable of producing high-quality labels using a variety of substrates.
The press also uses liquid-based HP ElectroInk, which is claimed to ensure colour consistency and print quality.
