Talking Print has launched what it claims is the first self-service personalised audio card and video book tool for brands.

The business said its Talkies service, which was launched earlier this month, enables consumers and businesses, along with printers, marketing and creative agencies, to create their own high-quality, personalised audio cards and video books online, on demand.

Audio and video content can be easily uploaded either online via Talking Print’s dedicated Talkies website, or once the product arrives.

The service also provides a straightforward design process, offering ready-to-use templates or the ability for customers to upload their own bespoke design and imagery.

Talking Print’s print partner Print Evolved handles the printed element of the cards and books using its HP Indigo technology.

There is no minimum order quantity requirement and the products can usually be dispatched within a day of ordering.

Talking Print founder and managing director David Hyams told Printweek: “We saw an opportunity because nobody has done this before. It combines personalised print but adds audio and video to your product.

“We have an integrated website so that when the customer creates a card it [generates] a PDF, which Print Evolved print, and the printed item then comes back to us and we either upload the video and send it on, or the client can upload their own video.”

Blank audio cards are available from £4.95 each while printed cards without an audio upload start from £7.95 and printed cards with audio start from £9.95.

Blank 4in video books start from £22.95 each, printed books without video upload are available from £25.95 and printed books with video upload start from £29.95.

For a 7in screen, blank video books start from £26.95, printed books without video upload begin at £30.95 and printed books with video upload are available from £34.95.

“The user-friendly service enables both businesses and consumers to generate their own high-quality creative, personalised communications quickly, at low cost,” said Hyams.

“The personalised multi-sensory communications brands can create using Talkies ensures they deliver standout with prospective and existing customers. In fact, it’s a service we believe will help brands create the most original and creative marketing material they’ve ever seen and heard.”
