St Ives fills senior roles at SP Group

St Ives' point-of-sale (POS) and point-of-purchase (POP) division SP Group has plugged the gaps left in its senior management team with the appointment of a new managing director and sales director, both from outside the printing industry.

Steve Parkin was appointed as managing director and Andrew Mallows as sales director. They replace Jeremy Jones and Andrea Porter respectively, who left the firm at the end of last year.

Parkin was most recently UK managing director of fitness equipment firm Technogym and was previously employed by a number of blue-chips, including the Football Association, Mars and Exxon.

"Parkin's background is perfect for the business and his knowledge of our customers and their markets is ideal in understanding the drivers for retail POS and POP requirements," said St Ives commercial group managing director Lloyd Wigglesworth.

Mallows was previously in sales in the drinks and sports sectors.

Further appointments at SP include Adrian Hope, who has joined as IT director, plus Rob Padmore, who joined the Forward Thinking business services team as digital media consultant to advise clients on digital out-of-home screens.
