Rocket takes back superwide control with Agfa install

Rocket Print & Promotions has installed a secondhand Agfa Anapurna M3200i RTR to bring its superwide work in-house.

The M3200i RTR is a roll-to-roll UV printer with a maximum resolution of 1,440dpi that can print at speeds of up to 123sqm/hr. The machine was installed at Rocket’s Grantham premises last month.

Used kit supplier Josero supplied the printer through its Agfa Partnership for approved secondhand machines. The installation was carried out by the Agfa team, who also provided support and training plus a full year’s warranty.

Rocket has a longstanding relationship with Josero and said it was “the logical supplier” when looking for a new machine.

The firm had previously outsourced all of its superwide-format work and said this investment would provide it with greater flexibility and control over its print production.

Rocket Print & Promotions managing director Noel Reeves said: “We’ve been working with Loic [Delor, managing director at Josero] for a number of years and his printer knowledge was very helpful to choose the right machine for us.

“We settled on the Agfa Anapurna M3200i because of its industrial build and the print quality. This has enabled us to bring a huge amount of production back in house as well as further taking control of our deadlines and customer service.”

Established in 2009, 15-staff Rocket Print & Promotions is a specialist supplier to the events and exhibitions industry, handling projects from conception through to realisation.

Operating Roland DG kit as well as the new Agfa machine, the business provides a wide range of promotional tools for exhibitors, from panel graphics to space only builds.
