Question mark over Polestar gravure client

Polestar appears to have lost its second multimillion-pound contract in the space of a week.

PrintWeek understands that Telegraph Media Group has served notice on Polestar and will move the weekend supplements currently printed at Polestar Sheffield to Prinovis in Liverpool from next month, with covers to be printed at YM Group’s Pindar site in Scarborough.

The titles include Stella, Telegraph Magazine, and the Sunday Telegraph’s Seven magazine, all printed on the gravure presses at Sheffield. TMG also produces a number of special supplements.

Sheffield also handles the polywrapping.

The latest ABC circulation for the Saturday Telegraph is 604,478 while the Sunday Telegraph’s is 356,975.

Telegraph Media Group has not made any official comment.

Prinovis UK and YM Group were unavailable for comment at the time of writing.

Polestar did not respond to a request for comment.
