The Canadian print giant put the closure of its Hellemmes plant in Lille, northern France, down to its "ongoing restructuring".
Quebecor has said that work at the Lille facility will be phased out and the factory is likely to close by the end of June 2007. It said the effect on capacity of the closure would be "neutral".
Around 230 staff work at the plant, and Quebecor has said some may be offered positions in Belgium.
