Pureprint hires new sales chief

Pureprint, the parent firm of Beacon Press and East Sussex Press, is to delve further into luxury print after appointing a new group sales manager.

The Uckfield-based, £16.5m-turnover firm aims to expand its presence in the luxury market with travel brochures and jewellery and interior design catalogues.

Pureprint said the appointment of James Dunne, formerly of book printer Butler & Tanner (B&T), would enable business development.

Dunne spent three years at B&T, helping it break into sectors outside book publishing. Prior to that, he spent six years at Bath Press.

He said Pureprint, which has 150 staff, was well positioned to meet the requirements of luxury print buyers.

“I look forward to the exciting task,” he added.
