Pureprint Group continues regional growth with new Swindon office

Pureprint Group has continued to expand by opening a new sales office in Swindon.

The business closed its Bristol office two weeks ago and relocated staff and operations - including IT and proofing equipment - across to the new office, which is twice the size of the previous unit.

The Swindon office currently has six staff, two of whom have moved over from the four-strong Bristol team. The other two Bristol staff have relocated to other parts of the group.

Four new starters have also joined the office from ESP Colour, and a seventh person will join next week.

The four new starters are Jenny Eagle, Cheryl Corbett, Wayne Giles and David Bulfield. Pureprint said they bring commercial specialism, technology insight and customer service skills to the team and that their appointments will further improve the company's offering.

Eagle and Giles join as account directors, Corbett as technology project manager and Bulfield as commercial manager.

The firm said these positions are integral for its continued sales development, MIS integration, increased web-to-print offering, enhanced technology deployment and commercial positioning.

The new office is next to Junction 16 of the M4 and there are plans to increase staff numbers as the business grows in the commercial and technology space.

“We’ve always worked quite closely together with ESP Colour so the people we’ve taken on were already quite well known to the management team at Pureprint and have been for a number of years,” said chief executive Mark Handford.

“This office is closer to London, which is where a lot of the business is, and also closer to our headquarters in East Sussex. We do a lot of business on that M4 corridor as well so it’s all about the client experience.”

In conjunction with the Frome and Leeds offices, the three regional sales offices are expected to deliver more than £7m of business for Pureprint Group in 2016.

“Our regional offices are working well and the Swindon office will be the biggest so far. Regardless of how automated workflows are, the relationships we have with our customers need to be personal and consultative and our regional offices are helping us to deliver this across the UK,” said chief operations officer Anthony Thirlby.

The business, which was named Book Printer of the Year in October’s PrintWeek Awards, is embarking on a multimillion-pound investment programme during 2016.

The firm recently ordered two Heidelberg Speedmaster 106 XLs, a six-colour with coater and a four-colour with coater, which are due to be installed at its main production site in Uckfield in the next few months.

Pureprint Group, which employs more than 400 people and has a turnover of £60m, serves clients in the corporate, retail, creative and fine art industries.
