Helen James: PSE’s family-run ethos and core aims are a perfect fit

PSE Offline Marketing has appointed a new head of HR on the back of strong growth and in anticipation of further expansion to come.

Helen James took up the new role at the Droitwich-headquartered business in September. The family-run firm specialises in offline marketing channels including direct mail, doordrops and partnership marketing.

James has more than two decades of experience in HR and most recently held the same role at flooring firm Karndean.

The PSE team has expanded to 22 this year, and chairman Phil Newton expects that to grow to at least 35 over the next couple of years to support the company’s growth, with sales likely to increase from £5.4m in 2021 to more than £8m this year.

Newton said James had already made a positive impact to the business and its people since she joined.

“Keeping our employees safe, healthy, and satisfied with proper HR management and necessary policies in place is essential as our business flourishes and the workforce expands,” Newton said.

“With Helen’s support, we will undoubtedly continue to see a happy PSE team develop and grow in existing and new roles as we enter the new year.”

James said that PSE’s family-run ethos and core aims were a perfect fit with her own vision and skill sets.

“This is an exciting time for the business. As a member of the leadership team, I plan to shape the HR department, grow and develop the people within the business, alongside supporting the stakeholders in achieving their growth plans into 2023 and beyond.”

PSE also has an office in Shoreditch in London. It works with a wide variety of clients including The Football Association, Hello Fresh, Radley, Mr & Mrs Smith, QVC and Pact Coffee Partnership.

Recent investments at the business include Solprint’s Buyer System MIS.
