Point Control Print Finishing ups offering with folder investment

Binding specialist Point Control Print Finishing has increased the services it can offer with a new MBO folder from UK distributor Friedheim.

The Accrington-based company has bought an MBO T800.1/444 buckle folder with an A66-2ME mobile stream delivery.

According to sales and marketing manager Julie Leishman, the business previously ran two folders.

However, a major contract regularly monopolised one of the machines and the decision was made to invest in a third folder.

Leishman said: "The new machine has given us more flexibility. The setup is quicker,  we can put through B1 sheets and also handle more complicated jobs."

This latest investment by the firm follows a move into PUR binding with the purchase of a Muller Martini Pantera at Ipex 2006.

It handles work from the local area, as well as companies further afield in west Yorkshire, Cumbria and Edinburgh.

Although it does handle some long-run work, much of Point Control's business is short-run, which managing director Richard Berwick said the new machine is particularly useful for.
