PHD Mail invests in PrintNet software from GMC

PHD Mail has invested in PrintNet software from GMC Software Technology to drive its transpromo services and cut development time in its transactional document creation.

The Burton-on-Trent-based business said that the PrintNet software will also improve its service offering to clients.

Stuart Murfin, information technology manager at PHD Mail, said: "We wanted to reduce development time for transactional document creation and offer future enhancements, including transpromo, white space management and utilisation."

PHD produces more than 40m transactional documents each year for customers including those in the brewery and telecoms sectors.

"PrintNet was more cost-effective and allowed migration from both data based and print stream types of work while their transpromo and full-color printing features ensured that the product will support our future strategy," added Murfin.
