Overmatter: star turn

What better way to celebrate the installation of the UK’s first Fujifilm Jet Press 720S B2 sheetfed inkjet press than by having a legendary rugby player pop in to cut the ribbon?

Overmatter can but begin to imagine the excitement over at Emmerson Press in Kenilworth, when England’s Rugby World Cup winning captain Martin Johnson CBE rocked up to do just that.

And – clever this – having bid for Johnson’s services at a charity auction Emmersons was able to put the 6’6” legend to good use. After a pep talk from Johnson on the value of team work, a photoshoot ensued involving everyone at the 30-strong company (directors John and Jamie Emmerson are pictured).

This was followed by a nifty bit of pre-press work, and then Johnson pushed the button (gently we hope) on the Jet Press, which whirred into action producing prints for all, which he duly signed. Result!
