Newnorth buys Heidelberg finishing kit

Newnorth has taken on more Heidelberg finishing equipment after investing in a Stitchmaster ST350.

The firm, based in Kempston, Bedfordshire, has been investing in Heidelberg finishing kit over the past five years and the latest addition replaces a Muller Martini machine.

Newnorth has also bought Polar machines to replace Schneider Senators and other Stahlfolders to replace MBO kit.

Roy Alderslade, Newnorth bindery manager said: "It [the ST350] is the best product in terms of automation, ease of use and value for money."

The ST350 is being used to handle untrimmed sections of 85x128mm up to 320x480mm and up to 12mm thickness. It also incorporates a graphic touch screen and can be JDF-connected to other production areas.

Newnorth operates in sectors that include report and accounts, special interest magazines and general commercial work.
