What’s at the top of your Christmas wish list this year?
A swift Brexit deal that would bring some confidence back to consumers and businesses.
What trend (business or technology) do you think 2018 will be remembered for?
The increased need to reduce waste due to the rapid increase in material costs, the increase in the adoption of inkjet technology across a range of sectors, reflecting an improved quality and lower cost per unit, and manufacturers being more open to direct access to the data within equipment, facilitating improved reporting and communication without the added complexity of JDF.
What do you think will represent the single biggest opportunity for printers in 2019 and why?
The increased opportunity for print following GDPR and e-privacy regulations.
What do you think will represent the single biggest threat for printers in 2019 and why?
Continued political and economic uncertainty and, at worst, a no-deal Brexit.
What’s the one thing that the industry should do more of, or do better, in 2019?
Finding ways to make ourselves more convenient for our time pressured customers
What was your biggest disappointment in 2018?
The impact of Brexit on confidence.
What was your highlight of 2018?
Beating our monthly budgets for the first ten months of the year and our shortlists, commendations and wins in a number of national awards.
What are your hopes for 2019?
That we will continue to build our reputation as an exceptional business.
