The wide-format printer will be available in the first quarter 2006 and incorporates Mutoh's latest Eco-Solvent Ultra inks.
"The inks increase the durability on outdoor material," said ArtSystems communication manager Andrew Hand. "The range of inks does not require extractor units."
The machine is suitable for printing signs, banners, vehicle graphics, exhibition work and point-of-sale displays. It targets firms that produce volumes ranging from 500 to 3,000sqm per year.
"It is suited for anything that requires durability," added Hand.
The Rockhopper 3 comes with a newly designed winder system and is suitable for rolls up to 100kg. Prices are to be announced in the New Year.
