Monotech enters finishing segment with Scodix 1200

Monotech System in alliance with Scodix launched Scodix 1200, the one of its kind digital finishing equipment in the Indian market.


Scodix 1200 can print up to 70 microns in polymer height and has variable density capabilities ranging from one to 100%. It supports barcode and variable data applications in PDF as well as optimised PDF formats with no additional set up. The machine processes formats and substrates up to B2 size and paper weights from 135 to 500 gsm with 0.5 mm thickness.

"We are trying to target the Indian wedding industry, photo album, book cover, greeting card and packaging segment," said Lior Meron, business development manager at Scodix, Asia Pacific. "The machine’s unique applications improve the print to the highest level," he added.

"The machine is very unique; it multiplies the value of print by giving special effects.  We will target the high end digital customers who believe in innovations and creativity," said TP Jain of Monotech Systems.
He added, "We will have a post sale service set up for the machine."

Monotech has observed good response to the machine and is confident about its market penetration.
Besides the new launch, Monotech has on display, the Konica Minolta’s range of digital presses including the C8000 digital press and newly launched C70HC printer, basysPrint UV CTP, Amsky Ausetter UV CTP, Screen thermal CTP, Pixeljet Polaris printer and Canon inkjet printer.
