The firms agreed a deal this month in which Mohawk acquired IP's writing, text, cover and artists' papers businesses.
Mohawk vice president for international sales Joe O'Connor said the expectation was that Mohawk would bring a more comprehensive product offering to the UK market.
"This will capitalise on our strong brand recognition for Strathmore and Beckett, and puts a renewed focus on Mohawk's proprietary grades."
Mohawk's grades currently come into the UK through merchants GF Smith and Paper Resources, and the firm has been in discussions with both.
