Loveurope has acquired London-based creative post-production business Locomotion and is eyeing further deals in 2013.

Loveurope chief executive Steve Owens said the acquisition - Loveurope's first since June 2011 - would bring "genuine creative firepower to our existing creative services portfolio".

He added: "With clients asking us to create and adapt an increasingly diverse range of marketing content across all communication and media channels, Locomotion’s experience and reputation in the advertising, as well as the digital, film and events sector, truly enhances our offer for both agency and brand clients alike."

Locomotion will continue to operate from its base in Soho under founding partner Danny Coster, who has been charged at group level with the task of integrating Loveurope's existing overseas post-production  businesses in Johannesburg, Warsaw and Kiev.

Commenting on the deal, Owens said: "The board have set the business an ambitious growth strategy, which certainly provides for both acquired and organic expansion.

"With client demand for content only set to increase, I would definitely expect to close at least one more deal for the group during 2013 and quite possibly more."
