LGDavis strengthens position with second Xerox iGen3

LGDavis has invested in its second Xerox iGen3 digital press as part of a push to increase capacity and strengthen "the backbone of the business".

The West Midlands-based company is now also the only business in the region to have two of the Xerox machines on the same premises.

Sales and marketing director Marcus Bowen said: "We can now build upon the personalisation work we've been doing with the extra capacity.

"We've put ourselves into a niche marketplace now by having two iGen3 machines and it also puts us in a good position to handle work from other companies."

LGDavis will use the brace of machines to work alongside its new order and tracking system Genesis, which allows clients to manage work online.

Customers of the 51-staff company can create, catalogue, proof and track jobs that are printed on the iGen3 presses.

The new Xerox comes complete with XMPie personalisation software, which the company anticipates will help the printer increase its foothold in variable data.

LGDavis provides a range of litho and digital print for clients in the health, training and franchise markets.

Managing director Elizabeth Smith said the new investment "significantly strengthens the backbone of our business".

She added: "In an industry as competitive as ours, the installation of two Xerox iGen3 printers means that we will be able to achieve new levels of productivity and profitability compared to that of our competitors."
