KnowledgePoint launches on-demand book printing service

KnowledgePoint has launched an on-demand book printing service, PublishPoint, which aims to produce any volume at a competitive price.

Reading-based KnowledgePoint, which runs an array of digital print equipment, including a Xerox iGen3 110 colour press and two mono Océ VarioPrint 6250 presses, specialises in the production of manuals, academic journals, workbooks, conference and seminar delegate packs, and bespoke prospectuses.

With PublishPoint the company has expanded into producing books for businesses in a wide range of sectors across self-publishing authors and independent publishers including academia, education, hobbies, sport, charity and fiction.

The new brand aims to be user-friendly and focuses on meeting the needs of self-publishing authors and specialist publishers as well as larger companies.

The PublishPoint website features a step-by-step guide to help users through each step of the process, from uploading files to ensuring that customers choose the right product. The portal features one-touch ordering capability and full order tracking to delivery.

PublishPoint produced the first publication of CS Forester’s The Pursued as a limited edition of 25 books for the world market.

Lawrence Brewer, who bought the lost manuscript along with Dr Colin Blogg, said: "PublishPoint displayed an alert interest, a spontaneous approach to problem-solving and a clear management structure that made the whole exercise a pleasure."
