Intec announces LabelExpo launches

Intec is launching two new products at next month’s LabelExpo Europe.

The manufacturer of digital colour printing and finishing machinery will be launching the ColorCut FB600 flatbed digital die-cutter and ColorFlare 700 desktop foiling and laminating system at the expo, which takes place in Brussels between 25 and 28 September.

The CF700 will be available straight after LabelExpo while the FB600 will not start shipping until late October. Prices start at £5,995 and £6,499 respectively. They will be shown alongside a ColorCut CC500 digital die-cutter, which was launched last year at The Print Show.

A smaller version of the FB600, the FB520, will also be unveiled soon after the show, with a starting price of £4,999.

Intec managing director Ian Melville said: “The flatbeds are groundbreaking in both price and performance for packaging, POS and greetings cards. Where previously other products would have been around £15,000 to achieve this, we are making creative print affordable to all commercial printers.”

Intec head of PR and marketing Terri Winstanley said the CF700 would be building off the success of the ColorCut CC500, which has been “selling incredibly well”. Earlier this year it also launched its updated CF1000LX foiler and laminator with additional arm and roller station.

“The CF700 desktop device has a smaller footprint and enables people who want to add embellishments to their labels to be able to do it effectively rather than having to go to a larger production device,” she said.

Winstanley added that the FB600 is intended to cut thicker sheets and has also been designed for thicker stocks for packaging. With a 450x600mm cutting area and the ability to take card up to 450gsm, the FB600 can cut an SRA3 sheet in 30 to 40 seconds, allowing for around 1,000 SRA3 sheets per day. It has dual tool setup, enabling two tools to be fitted and used simultaneously, and optical registration, which accurately follows vector lines.

The final specifications for the CF700 were unavailable.
