Infigo expands W2P portfolio with e-store and template tool

Bytes Document Solutions has expanded its Infigo web-to-print platform with a business-to-consumer retail e-store and a simplified document template creation tool.

Infigo Retail will supply greetings cards and photo products, such as calendars. It is search engine optimised and has built in links for Google AdWords and AdSense campaigns.

The Adobe Flash interface is designed to make it easy for consumers to drag and drop images into design templates and the site is also designed to be easy for the printer to deploy.

"What we're bringing to the market will shock our rivals," claimed Bytes Solutions Infigo product manager Douglas Gibson.
The site uses Sage Pay, a secure online transaction system, and incorporates support for multiple languages and currencies.

The company said it was simple to customise the design of the main site and to add microsites targeted to specific types of customer or to offer a private label service for other businesses.

It will be offered as an upgrade to existing customers, 40 of which are printers, according to Bytes.

The company has also launched Infigo Go VI, a simple template creation tool that allows printers without graphic design or web programming skills to set up templates for static and personalised jobs using PDF files.

"A lot of web-to-print systems can be very complex, we make them simple to use," said Gibson.

Infigo Retail is available to buy outright or supplied as Software as a Service (SaaS). Gibson said the SaaS version would cost £9,800 for an initial setup fee, with a monthly fee of £175, which includes 200 jobs.
