Home Retail Group hands transactional work to Adare

Home Retail Group (HRG), owner of the Argos and Homebase brands, has rehoused its transactional mail contract with Adare after the failure of its predecessor BemroseBooth.

The three-year contract for the financial services division of the group was won through a tender and is supported by Adare's investment plan that has included dual Infoprint 5000 digital print engines, two CMC hi-intelligence enclosing machines and two Jetstar postal sortation units.

Adare chief executive Robert Whiteside said: "Our continued investment in equipment, infrastructure and technology will enable us to support HRG with both their existing transactional requirements and their future communications strategy and we are delighted to have been selected by such a market leader."

Following the collapse of BemroseBooth last year, HRG initially moved its work to disaster recovery specialist Business Continuity.

HRG Financial Services Division head of operations Mike Palmer said: "Recent experience meant that financial stability was a major consideration for us during the selection process. However, it was Adare's overall service capability and cultural fit that was key to our decision.

"Adare was able to evidence the value of re-engineering our documents to maximise the "white space" available on our statements and this will enable us to utilise our statements to communicate more effectively with our clients using highly targeted, relevant personalisation and messages."
