Hollywood Monster teams with Dudley College

Birmingham-based large-format specialist Hollywood Monster has opened its business up to students from Dudley College.

Students from the college's Diploma in Graphic Design and Interior Design course will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of commercial projects, including large-format displays for a new Evolve building at the college.

The students were given a guided tour of the premises by managing director Tim Andrews. "It’s a tough world out there for young people trying to get a foothold in their chosen career," he said. "We are delighted to be able to offer students work experience opportunities and the chance to get involved in commercial projects. I’m looking forward to seeing how they progress and we hope that our support will give them the edge when applying for jobs in the sector."

Dudley College centre manager for art, design and media Ben Gamble said: "It is refreshing to see a company actively encourage working partnerships with creative students, especially in the current economic climate. I am really looking forward to developing our curriculum with creative companies like Hollywood Monster."

The 65-staff print and sign business produces a range of large-format work for blue-chip clients such as Next, Debenhams and HMV as well as having strong links with local businesses such as football clubs.
