Gusbourne Estate wine sparkles with Oriel and Celloglas

Gusbourne Estate chose Oriel print and Celloglas to produce its packaging for a range of premium English sparkling wines.
What did the job entail?
Wine producer Gusbourne Estate wanted to create an elegant range of boxes for its English sparkling wines produced at its 200-hectare estate in Appledore, Kent. The client wanted boxes that reflected the class of the wines while also packing a punch on-shelf.
How was it produced?
Hull-based UV litho printer Oriel produced the packs using MirriNor, Smurfit Kappa and Mirri’s joint venture microflute board, which in this case was laminated with rainbow film.
What challenges were overcome?
Oriel business development director Chris Holmes said: "We have done this sort of project before so it went very well. The climatised material arrived and it went through the presses very easily."
What was the feedback?
Gusbourne Estate owner Andrew Webber said: "We wanted to use a packaging material that was produced in the UK, like our wines, and we were attracted to the fantastic aspects of the MirriNor material.
