GEW has boosted its sheetfed sales team with the appointment of a science graduate.

Jamie Neill has joined the Crawley-headquartered UV curing specialist as junior sales manager for its sheetfed business in the UK and Ireland.

GEW said that adding Neill to the team would allow international sales manager Gary Doman to focus on strategic sales growth and key accounts.

Neill has a BSc (Hons) in biomedical science from the University of Warwick. He also brings experience of working in a B2B environment to his new role, having worked at medical device specialist Sarstedt group since graduating in 2017.

GEW managing director of sales Robert Rae said the firm’s sheetfed business had gone “from strength to strength” since it became RMGT’s partner for UV LED at the beginning of this year, with LED retrofits also taking off and GEW’s home market becoming “far more receptive to UV LED curing as a concept”.

“Jamie will be focusing on visiting customers across the UK and Ireland to demonstrate the benefits of UV LED retrofits and increase our presence in this growth market for GEW,” Rae said.

GEW celebrated its 30th anniversary this year, and also passed the landmark of 20,000 installations.
