AccurioPress C4080: modular device provides "speed and continuity"

Future Print Leeds has refreshed its production setup with two new Konica Minolta devices.

The Morley firm has invested around £60,000 in two Konica Minolta AccurioPress C4080 devices. It has taken out two older BizHub models as part of the revamp, but also upgraded and retained an existing BizHub1060 device for flexibility and backup.

The firm also runs a further five mono production printers at its 372sqm factory.

Managing director Tim Roberts said: “The new 4080s give us speed and continuity and keep us up-to-date, and they also have a better click rate.”

The firm’s main online trading brand is NCR Print Online, where the core product is short-run NCR pads and sets with quick turnaround times.

“I was told in 1992 that NCR would be a dying market. But it’s still thriving for us and we do very well with it,” Roberts added.

“Printers place orders with us because they hate doing NCR, whereas we are specialists and we’re bloody good at it!”

The seven-staff firm has turnover of more than £1m.

The new C4080s were installed last month. The modular devices handle paper from 62-360gsm and have a print speed of up to 81 A4 pages per minute, or 45 A3ppm.

Future Print Leeds also has online brands specialising in custom mug printing and funeral stationery.
