EFI adopts HTML5 in latest Digital StoreFront release

EFI has based the latest version of its Digital StoreFront (DSF) web-to-print software on the HTML5 standard, which ensures consistent viewing across all operating systems and devices, including desktop, tablet and mobile.

DSF 7, which was launched at EFI Connect in Las Vegas this week, also features a SmartStore Builder that allows users to select from a range of pre-built layouts and themes.

Advanced customisation can be carried out with direct HTML and CSS editing, while the software also features a re-designed interface for ease-of-use.

The software also features EFI's Digital StoreFront VWeb+ cross-media marketing module, which allows end users to create and manage cross-channel marketing campaigns - including print, purl, email and sms - track customer response and configure automated follow-up messages.

Available from Q1 2014, DSF 7 features seamless integration with EFI's MIS products - Monarch, Pace, PrintSmith and Radius - as well as the Fiery digital front-end. It is localised in 16 languages and available on both a self-hosted and software-as-a-service (saas) basis.

"Our new version of EFI Digital StoreFront addresses the critical need for a powerful online interface not only to win new business, but to create greater customer loyalty through branding and updated browser functionality," said EFI Web2Print product solutions group director Dave Minnick.
