Durst supports labels growth with new hire

Durst has taken on a new labels business development manager for the UK and Ireland to support its growth in the sector.

Peter Jones, who started in the newly created role yesterday (19 August), will work closely with the local sales, service, supply and logistics teams, as well as with staff based at Durst’s headquarters in Brixen, Italy.

His role will cover the manufacturer’s RSC Tau UV inkjet portfolio and associated software offered by Durst Professional Services. These include Durst Workflow Label combined with the Durst SmartShop and integration packages.

Prior to joining Durst, Jones had spent 25 years working in a variety of management roles for Esko, most recently as global solutions manager for Danaher.

“Having done a lot of research, I know that Durst’s product portfolio, customer service and support is second to none,” he said.

“Durst is a family company and market leader with a first-class reputation in so many markets, which I hope to extend further in labels. I’m really excited. This was too good an opportunity to miss.”

Durst UK and Ireland managing director Peter Bray added: “Peter’s considerable market knowledge will be a real asset to Durst, with labels continuing to be a really important target sector to further grow our business.”

Jones, who lives with his family in Stratford-upon-Avon, will also be continuing his masters degree in project management outside of work. His hobbies include rugby and flying and he holds a private pilot’s licence.
