Displayways opens up new revenue streams with Oc Arizona 350 XT

Displayways has opened up new revenue streams and increased new business by 30% after investing in an Oc Arizona 350 XT printer.

The London-based company has installed the UV 2m x 3m flatbed to increase the number of flexible and rigid substrates it can print on while maintaining high-quality production.

According to Wendy Richards, managing director at Displayways, the company opted for the Arizona, "because of the unbelievable print quality, which is crucial to our core business".

She added: "We can now offer all our clients the exceptional quality and the versatility they require at a price that would not have been possible before.

"We’ve increased our throughput by 30% and I anticipate that our overall production costs of direct to media print will be at least 30% less. I am extremely pleased that we have invested in the system and so are our clients."

The 15-staff Wandsworth printer serves a range of clients that include UK museums and international businesses.

Its new flatbed can print direct onto substrates such as MDF, aluminum, acrylics, PVC, glass, plastic and sheet metal. It has a bed size of 3,050x2,500mm and can output at resolutions of 1,440dpi.

Richards added that the Arizona is also helping the company boost its green credentials.

She said: "Fewer materials are used in the manufacturing of the graphics - therefore wastage is drastically reduced.

"There are also numerous recycled and sustainable products on the market which are widely available for direct to media printing."
