Cox leaves PrintWeek after 12 years

Barney Cox, PrintWeek executive editor, is to leave the magazine at the end of 2010 after 12 years' service.

"I’ve had a great dozen years at PrintWeek, supported by fantastic colleagues and contacts, many of whom have become friends, which has made it a pleasure to get to know the industry," said Cox.

"When I joined in April 1998, I promised myself to give it a go until after Ipex. I never imagined I’d end up being at PrintWeek for four of them."

PrintWeek editor Darryl Danielli added: "As an industry veteran and acknowledged technical expert Barney has been instrumental in PrintWeek’s development. Luckily for us he has shared his expertise on countless occasions, so while he may no longer be present on a day-to-day basis, his influence and insight will be."

Cox will leave the magazine on 29 December and his duties split among the 12-strong editorial team.
