Charterhouse PM acquires customer engagement agency Indicia

Charterhouse PM has acquired the £10m-turnover Bristol-based customer engagement agency Indicia for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition is the second in just over six months for the Hatfield-headquartered print manager, which was itself bought out by Konica Minolta in December 2012, following the purchase of Ergo Asia in June 2014.

Charterhouse PM chief executive Gary Mahoney said: "Our clients are looking for complete solutions and, with the acquisition of Indicia, Charterhouse will be able to deliver on this aim. The two companies have very similar cultures and share an entrepreneurial spirit that has seen both companies achieve year-on-year growth."

Indicia employs more than 100 staff across its offices in Bristol, Edinburgh and London and has expertise in analytics, planning, creative, digital, data and technology solutions. The existing Indicia management team will continue to run the business.

Indicia managing director Ian Stockley said: "Joining forces with Charterhouse is an exciting time for Indicia. The explosion of digital and social means there has never been a more exciting and challenging time to work within the marketing space.

"There are great synergies between the companies, which, with the backing of Konica Minolta, will deliver new opportunities and prospects for delivering future growth."

Yasuhiro Kawasugi, general manager Marketing Services Business Division of Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe, added: "Acquiring Indicia completes Konica Minolta’s Services portfolio aimed at the optimisation of our customers’ business.

"Through Indicia’s brilliant specialists, we can provide a deeper expertise in our Marketing Print Management and Marketing Management Services offerings."
