Callprint makes new Jupiter appointment

Reprographics and large-format print specialist Callprint has recruited Andy Phillips as regional account director of the new Jupiter Visual Communications team.

The appointment follows Callprint’s recent recruitment of a new retail and commercial team for Jupiter.

Phillips, who previously worked with Jupiter founder Ben Moss at Service Graphics, started in the newly created role in November and will be based in offices at Callprint's production facility in Knowsley, Liverpool.

He has joined from Ecorig, where he was account director for the past eight years, working out of its Leeds and Liverpool offices. He remains a shareholder at Ecorig and will also continue as a visual consultant for the business.

Ecorig is a consultant developer for remote operated raise and lower, display and lighting systems and works with some of the UK’s largest retailers. As part of the move, Ecorig has also formed a strategic business relationship with Callprint.

Phillips said: “Ecorig is a remote controlled system designed to change large-format banners at height, over escalators and in high spaces. For the last seven years I've been pushing that to the retail industry.

“I work with quite a lot of the retail industry so moving across to Jupiter I will continue those relationships and look at selling to them some more print orientated solutions and let them know about the services Jupiter has to offer.”

Callprint group managing director Steve Cheek said: “We recently stated our intention to recruit experienced new staff and the recruitment of Andy underlines this.

“He will be a great addition to the team at Jupiter, and also the development of the relationship between ourselves and Ecorig will be of benefit to both parties.”

Jupiter was established as a new wholly owned, standalone business in July after Moss joined the Callprint Group as a board director after taking a ‘significant’ stake in the business.

Named after one of Moss’s former businesses, Jupiter focuses on the management of special, large-scale projects in the live events, retail, sports, transport hub and property sectors.

It forms part of Callprint’s strategy to grow its turnover from around £12.5m to £25m over the next two years.

Callprint Group, which was established in 1992, has around 190 staff across 18 UK locations and operations in Dubai and India.
