Blue Print Direct Mail has taken on two new apprentices under the government's incentive scheme as it looks to futureproof the business.

The two apprentices joined the Droitwich, Worcestershire based DM specialist last week.

Rosie Molnar has joined as trainee bookkeeper and will undertake a Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, while Hannah Matthews will follow a City & Guilds Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship as trainee account manager.

Their training is being supported by Kaplan and Herefordshire and Worcestershire Group Training Association respectively.

The appointment of the pair was supported by the government’s initiative to encourage employers to recruit apprentices, where companies get £2,000 for every trainee aged between 16-24 taken on between 1 August and 31 January 2021.

Employers hiring apprentices aged 25 or over will receive a payment of £1,500 per apprentice.

However, the 14-staff firm has been a long term supporter of apprenticeship schemes with five of its current team having started their print careers with apprenticeships at the business.

“We are very excited to welcome these two new additions to our growing team and we are looking forward to seeing how their skills can contribute to the growth of Blue Print,” said managing director Anthony Drew.

“We have always been an advocate for the recruitment and training of apprentices and are aware of how their development and growth can benefit our business in a multitude of ways.”
