Bezier drops acquisition plans with KBA 162 buy

Point-of-sale marketing and print firm Bezier is to move into large-format litho printing with the installation of a KBA Rapida 162a at its Wakefield site.
Bezier’s new press will be installed at the site, which currently runs a battery of screen and digital kit, during the summer. The 1,000-staff firm may also purchase another litho press during the year.
Bezier chief executive Mark Shaw said: “Our decision to purchase the KBA162a has been led by our current mix of work, demand from the marketplace, and our need for latent capacity.
“It is imperative that that we are able to respond to our clients’ needs and the increasing pace of the PoP market.
“Having this new technology will ensure we are able to deliver the increased volume and range of output required to stay at the forefront of the industry.”
Bezier clients include Asda, Boots, Argos and Coca-Cola. It had a turnover of £61m in 2005-2006, but is aiming for sales of £200m by 2009.
