Pureprint was praised by the judges for the 150-run publication Clay, which used five different paper stocks, but the submission that truly stood out was the ‘Think with Google’ brochure. The brochure was produced to represent the tech giant’s innovative approach to doing business. Pureprint used duplexing and laser cutting on five different colours of material to create a striking visual effect. The cover alone featured embossed material, foiling, duplexing, white ink and laser cutting. The job was assembled and delivered in a tight timeframe as the company wanted to hand it out to delegates at a conference in San Francisco. As the judges said: “It was a job really well done.”
Screaming Colour’s compelling submission left the judges seriously impressed. The invite set the company produced for world famous nightclub Pacha left the judges lost for words. One judge did manage to utter “wow”! when presented with the invitation, which was printed on the company’s Indigo 7600s using the manufacturer’s latest Fluoro inks in pink, orange and green on Folex clear material to provide the added magic of the invite fluorescing under the club’s UV lights.
