Banks joins Xeikon to continue drive into commercial print

Former Presstek UK sales director Peter Banks has joined Xeikon to head up the digital press manufacturer’s UK commercial sales.
In his role as UK sales manager he will head Xeikon’s push into commercial, direct mail and transpromo, and publishing print.
“When you look at the company’s installed base it has a good spread between larger organisations and smaller businesses and I’ll be looking to build on those solid foundations,” said Banks.
Banks left Presstek after three years in the spring of 2013 as part of the business’s global restructure, he subsequently undertook a number of consultancy roles before being approached by Xeikon and joining the business earlier in the summer.
Prior to working at Presstek, Banks held senior roles at Creo, CreoScitex; Kodak and Scitex.
“When I was talking to customers in my previous roles people always raved about the reliability and quality of the Xeikon technology, and it was clear that if you get the right applications based around productivity then they’re in a field of one,” said Banks.
“The Trillium technology is also going to be a very compelling proposition and that played a large part on what attracted me to the role. I liked the people, I liked the reliability of the kit and I’m excited about Trillium, and that was the basis of my decision to join.”
Xeikon vice-president marketing Patrick Van Baelen said: “Peter brings with him a great deal of experience in the right markets. This is a great time to join Xeikon – we have some fantastic products coming to market. I look forward to working with Peter and to further expanding our market in the UK.”
