Azonprinter has launched a new flatbed that can print onto any flat or round object up to 420mm high, which it claims is a world first, and 330mm in diameter.

The Azon Matrix Cubejet, which is a new addition to the company’s Azon Matrix industrial series, is available commercially now.

The UV-LED machine comes in bed sizes of 590x1,200/1,800mm and 1,100x1,200/2,500mm, with prices ranging from €40,000-€60,000 (£33,830-£50,745).

The machine can print directly onto a range of materials, including ABS, polycarbonate, TPU, PVC, wood, stone, glass, canvas, ceramic and aluminium. It is also capable of 3D Braille printing and printing onto cylindrical objects.

Azonprinter said that the Cubejet is particularly suited to outdoor and industrial applications. However, with its ability to print on taller and round objects, the Croatian manufacturer suggests it could also be used in a range of other settings, from home decor to commercial print jobs.

The machine also uses EN 71-3 certified phthalate-free ink, meaning it can be used to print children’s furniture and toys.

Azonprinter marketing specialist Tea Milicevic said: “Through the years we have received many enquiries from designers and people from various industries who were searching a solution for personalisation and direct printing on objects that are taller than 20cm [200mm], but it was impossible to find the solution on the market.

“We are thrilled that finally we can offer a solution to specific enquires and expand into new markets as finally we can print everything.”
