Anytech increases in-house capabilities with DYSS purchase

Anytech Print has invested in a DYSS X5-1310T twin-head digital cutter to boost its in-house capabilities after seeing increasing demand.

The device, which was bought from AG/CAD, was delivered to the Swindon-based firm’s 93sqm unit around two weeks ago.

The machine has a 1x1.3m cutting table and works with the supplied Kasemake CAD suite, which has thousands of pre-prepared templates for boxes, folders and display units.

Anytech owner Chin Williams, who started the firm around three years ago, said the business also looked at alternatives from Summa and Esko but found the DYSS machine to be the most attractive option due to its value for money with the combination of the hardware and software package supplied.

“I’ve used one of the DYSS machines before in a company I previously worked for, so I’ve been looking forward to getting one since I started my own company,” said Williams.

“We were previously using a vinyl cutter but we can also now cut solid boards. The Kasemake software is also pretty incredible.”

The business, which has experienced a steadily increasing workload, said the DYSS purchase has already enabled it to bring a lot of cutting work in-house, of items including POS material and large-format graphics.

The company, which has four staff and a turnover of around £100,000, also operates Xerox digital machinery and Roland wide-format kit. Williams is hoping the firm’s turnover will double as a result of the new investment.

Anytech Print produces a range of wide-format and digital print and also offers bespoke cardboard engineering and short run production services to customers including blue-chip organisations and retailers.
