Adare SEC boosts management team with sales hire

Adare SEC has beefed up its leadership team with a new hire from a rival firm.

Allan Rowan has joined the communications provider as director of growth and client development, he was previously sales and marketing director at Communisis.

He comes with more than 20 years’ experience at senior and board level within the customer communications industry and has held several client-facing roles in sectors from finance to fast-moving consumer goods.

In the newly-created Adare role, Rowan will be responsible for overseeing client relationships, account management, and sales development activities.

He will work closely with the executive team, comprised of Rachael Nevins, chief executive; Christian Dickson, chief financial officer; Tom Prestwich, chief operating officer; Andrew Herd, chief digital and information officer; and Mike Quate, marketing and solutions director.

Rowan said: “Like many businesses in our industry, Adare SEC has had to adapt at pace to the economic and cultural changes posed by Covid-19 and the manner in which it has done so has been admirable.

“I’ve been impressed at how Adare SEC has introduced new ways of working, developed new technologies and introduced new procedures that our clients can rely on and that we can use as a catalyst for growth.

“I’m excited to get started and I look forward to helping the business and my colleagues to build on its longstanding heritage and experience.”

Last month, Huddersfield-headquartered Adare SEC released strong year end figures to 31 October 2019. Its clients include the NHS, UK government bodies, Santander, Allianz, and Aon.
